Rock me mamma like the wind and the rain Rock me mamma like a south bound train

Aside from the obvious tragedies, scandals, and wars -- the assassinations of MLK and JFK, Watergate, and the Vietnam war, just to name a few--I will always believe the era of bellbottoms, flower children, faux fur and Woodstock to be the "creme de la creme" of decades--dare I at least say it birthed the creamiest fashion trends(music too but that's neither here nor there). Sometimes I think my parents took it for granted--but then again, I am almost convinced that mom and dad's version of the truth regarding their "teenage lifestyle" was told in shades of grey. Either way, although I sadly missed the birth of the 1960's and 1970's fashion scene, I have no room to complain because frankly it is still EVERYWHERE-- in every campaign, every editorial and remains to be the root of countless "blogger inspirations" from New York to Paris and back again. I guess I'm just another poster child....
